canon: Sanctuary canon point: mid-3x07 canon cw: Death, medical situations, flashing images, inhuman creatures, psychological disturbances, language brief bio: Dr. Helen Magnus is the beautiful yet mysterious medical doctor who has dedicated her life to the study, healing, and protection of all those that she refers to as "abnormals." A bit of an enigma, she is a woman of many talents who seems to have seen more of the world than one might suspect. Then again, she has been doing her job for five lifetimes... relationship status: Single* - *several past love interests, including a former fiancee. No current romantic interest. apparent age: late 30s-early 40s, actually 159 (b. august 27th, 1850) (adjusted birthday from comics) appearance: A woman who looks to be in her early forties, Helen has dyed brunette hair and blue eyes. She stands at 5'9", and can be seen in a variety of outfits for the occasion. She has no distinctive marks or tattoos, but her body language is very much that of a lady. However, due to her canon point, she does have a large bruise on her face, as well as various minor injuries. She is also 5'9". identifying marks; Other than a large bruise on the side of her face upon her arrival? Nope. mental state: Helen is in a very shaken point. Breach (3x07) has her trapped in a time bubble with a man (Adam Worth) that she believed she had killed more than a century before. Adam also is aware of things she is not, especially regarding her father, so having her torn away from all of that will be upsetting and taxing on her near infinite patience. She is pulled from the moment that Adam initiates the time jump, so she will first be worried that Adam is stalking through the town and that she came through using his device. ABILITIES Helen has no magical abilities or special weaknesses. She is still a mortal human and can die to injury, illness, or accident. She is, however, trained in nearly all firearms, some martial arts, hand-to-hand combat, and has extensive medical and scientific knowledge. She also has some engineering skills in order to craft things, even being able to recreate a rudimentary version of crafted items from people she has known. Given an episode of a dream world, Helen may even have some art skills that she doesn't show off. She also knows a wide arrange of languages (English, Italian, Zulu, Japanese, Cambodian, Norwegian, French, Spanish, Arabic, Hindi, German) and can read and translate several others (Vampiric language, Sumarian). IC PERMISSIONS physical affection: Helen will give small touches and place her hand on someone's back or arm. However, holding or hugging is reserved for close people. A kiss on the cheek is a friendly greeting if she feels they are close. However, feel free to give her affection. flirting: Yes. relationships: Open to it! She might be rather closed off at first, but, she's bound to warm up to someone at some point. sex: Yes, if things develop in that format! fighting: Helen can hold her own in a physical fight. Otherwise? Expect arguments. They're bound to happen. injury/death: Given the game, yes. Injury is most certainly bound to happen. Death will happen depending on the story beats/logs. triggers: Family death, endangering the people/beings under her care, John Druitt/Jack the Ripper.
